Q. Is windshield repair covered by my insurance company?
A. Yes, if you have comprehensive coverage, windshield damage is covered by your plan. It doesn't matter whether the damage was caused by road debris or vandalism—your only expense will be your deductible. Many people are surprised by how low their deductibles are—often less than $100 for comprehensive (non-collision) repairs.
Q. Which insurance companies do you work with?
A. We work with every auto insurance company in the country. They like us because we accommodate each of their individually determined rates and we install only quality auto glass backed by our 10 year warranty.
Q. Will I have to file a bunch of paperwork with my insurance company?
A. No way. We take care of the hassle involved with insurance claims so you don't have to—that's why we're here. At GlassOne, we'll do all required paperwork to bill your insurance company directly. All you need to do is pay the amount of your deductible (if you have one). We even process your payment over the phone using a debit or credit card.
Q. That's great, but will my insurance rates go up if I file an auto glass claim?
A. Not at all. A cracked windshield doesn't reflect your driving ability, so why should it have a bearing on your level of risk to the insurance company? Auto glass replacement falls under the comprehensive portion of your insurance rather than the collision category, so you can get a brand new windshield and your insurance premiums will stay the same.
Q. Where do I need to take my car and how much time should I allow for windshield replacement?
A. We're about to make you very happy: You don't have to go anywhere. We'll come to you wherever you are—at home, at work or at your in-law's notorious marathon potluck. And the whole process shouldn't take more than an hour, though we highly recommend that you don't drive for 2-3 hours after the installation so that the urethane seal will have plenty of time to cure. Your technician will give you an estimated drive-away time based on weather conditions and materials used.
Q. Do I need to be there while you replace my glass?
A. Nope. You can go shopping, see a movie, keep working, take a nap—whatever makes you happy. All our capable technicians need is to have your vehicle unlocked when they arrive.
Q. What if it's raining or snowing on the day of my appointment?
A. A little rain or snow won't slow GlassOne down—as long as there's a carport, garage or other suitable shelter on site. Otherwise, we'll gladly reschedule your appointment for another time.
Q. So, what about quality? I don't want to have to replace my windshield again.
A. We can assure you that we use only high-quality auto glass from an Original Equipment Manufacturer such as PPG, Pilkington, LOF, Mopar, Carlite and Guardian. We are so confident in the glass we use that we guarantee it's quality as long as you own your car. We also back up our craftsmanship with a warranty that's honored in all 50 states. If your windshield leaks due to faulty installation on our part, we'll replace it for free. But don't worry—it won't. Our technicians are some of the best in the industry.
Q. I need my side-door glass replaced. Can GlassOne help me?
A. Yes. We sell and service most auto glass parts: door windows, vents, back windows. We will need to talk to you on the phone to make sure we order exactly the right side glass to fit your car—just give us a call.
Q. How long is the wait for an appointment?
A. We can usually have a GlassOne expert to your location in 1-2 days, depending on your availability.
